Renting is often better, financially.
Under 17.5: buying is often a good choice. 17.5 to 22.5: either one could work. Over 22.5: renting is often better, financially.
This is a common rule of thumb, not a prediction. It is not based on GTA data, and it leaves out your mortgage rate, down payment, closing costs, and land transfer tax. Not financial advice.
